Soft the Sparrow Sings

Here’s a track “Bird Above Snake Below” from the album “Soft Soft Soft the Sparrow Sings” to listen to. You can download a free mp3 here

INFO

In May 2010 Jet McDonald cycled four thousand miles to India from the UK with a guitar strapped to the back of his bike with a bungee. The album documents a journey from West to East; from the perfect tarmac of France to the pot holes of Romania, the high Anatolian plains of Turkey to the meditative deserts of Iran and finally the bewildering carousel of India. The insert included with the CD documents the story of each song.

The tracks were recorded back in Forest Studios in Bristol with help from his musical pals, Finnish Violinist Virpi Kettu, banjo and mandolin player Jon Gillard, backing vocals Jen Wren  (who cycled with him to India) and Casio keyboard and bike pump from Alex Ivanovich who recorded the album. Standout tracks are 9. Bird Above Snake Below (3.25) and 3. Pedal Pedal Pedal (2.30)
